For a big media executive, Turner’s Vice President of New Products, David Eckoff, who I met at last weeks VON07 conference, is a disarmingly approachable guy. In fact, beyond approachable, he seemed just as excited to meet independent content creators as they were to meet him.
He describes his interest in this space in the following way:
By way of background, I’m quite interested in the topic of technology enabling new talent to emerge. And I’m very interested in learning about what’s happening with people video blogging and producing online shows
(in fact, one of my goals in coming weeks is to add video blogging to my
own blog).
He was actively engaging producers at the conference. While he kindly tipped his hat to my conference wrap up video, he took far better notes! He posted a very nice summary on his blog where there’s also a link to his presentation video.
