Great wrap-up, Jim. (And not just because I'm in it.) You really summed up the current buzz around the space, which is: we're here to stay, so what do we (the content creators) need to do to ENSURE we can stay, while also helping other companies figure out how they can utilize our skills and services. It's the "okay, web video isn't going anywhere, so let's start figuring out this co-existence thing" part of the life cycle of new media.

<!--%kramer-ref-pre%-->[...] I had a conversation with NBC News VP for Digital Media, Mark Lukasiewicz, where I expressed the notion of re-defining what an network affiliate is and what it might be in a world where content can be created and distributed by everyone. Does it have to be a tower and transmitter? I don’t think so. Maybe it’s an independant content creator with an editorial track record. Time will tell if that amounts to anything. Bringing different voices to the conversation would seem to me to be a mutually beneficail arrangement for traditional journalism outlets and emerging ones. I really enjoyed our conversations at VON07 and your interviews were cruicial to my storytelling out there. So once again, I’ve given you “face time” in my VON07 recap video.
Jim, enjoyed watching your wrap up video from VON, it brought back some fond memories from the conference! I agree, SteveG making fun of your conference hall walk through was way funny!

Related to VON, I wrote a recap of some of the most interesting things I heard during the presentations VON2007 - and included a link to your wrap up video... now on my blog about innovation, new media and personal technology:

Wow. I was considering going to VON. Now that I have seen your video, I really wish I would have. You narrate (I don't know what the better word for that is) so well! Oh my goodness!! I was so captivated by this video, and it wasn't even because I know some of the people. I will have to watch more of yours.
